Minimalism… a closer look !

Heyo lavenders !! So today I am back with a new post that has to do with the whole concept of my blog ! Yay !!

Well as many of you know that I’ve shifted to minimalism for quite a while now ! You can check out β†ͺ Starting a minimalist lifestyle where I first mentioned that I am adopting a new lifestyle ! And that was my top post by the way considering the tons of likes, views and comments ! So thank you so much guys for your support πŸ™πŸ˜Š !

Well in today’s post I will talk about one important value and principle that belongs to minimalism as a lifestyle …it is the heart of the whole concept of minimalism ….and which I personally embrace !!

Well let’s jump straight to the point !!!

β™₯β™₯ Less is More β™₯β™₯

Probably …this is the most famous indication about minimalism ! I am sure that many of you have heard about it before sooo many times !But…what does it stand for ?

Well, it is about embracing life and seeking happiness beyond possessions , it is about seeking the true happiness …the true meaning of life ! And possessions are just means to make life easier and they shouldn’t be the center of our life in a way in which we could loose the essence of life ! Concrete stuffs come and go ! And the real happiness should be always apart from possessions .You should not be deadly depressed when they are gone ! Less is more is also about the number of stuffs that you have _! How’s that ? Easy …as for us girls ! Minimalism is a bit hard … I know !! but here’s a question ! How many lip products do you have !? How many mascaras did you get recently ?! Do you use them all ? Are they all your favourite items ? Do you really need them all ? What kind of value do they bring to your life _! I know that …it is hard to push away the idea of getting new makeup I understand that ! I really do ! And that’s why I suggest getting products that you would actually use ! I used to buy bunch of makeup products just for the sake of getting more makeup or because I thought that the packaging is so cute and adorable ! I am a huge makeup lover by the way …but at the moment ,I only purchase products that I will truly use so that I won’t end up throwing most of my makeup because the products got expired without even using them for once 😱 πŸ˜₯ ! So minimalism is not about any sort of deprivation ! Yet ! It is about satisfaction … You could get many lipsticks ..and that’s fine as long as you are using them all at different occations ( by “many” I don’t mean 5~6 colors or more ! ) and the same for clothing and many other stuffs ….well your happiness should not be related to concrete stuffs ! And that’s why we should start looking for happiness among things that don’t contain any kind of expiring date on top of their packaging. You should NOT be relating your existence to ” how many stuffs do you own “…you don’t need a wardrobe full of items to feel happy about yourself or your life !

Just think about that ……

Well guys that was everything for today’s post …bye for now and see you next time !!! Bye πŸ™ŒπŸ™‹

  1. Nice to hear more about this minimalism lifestyle. πŸ™‚ You write so important things to think about that lifestyle and things we own. How much we really need in the end and what really make us happy. When you shop less, you have time to do something else than running all the time in shopcenters etc. Like quality time with people you love. πŸ˜πŸ’›

  3. Lovely post! I recently decided to implement more minimalistic lifestyle and I am already happy that suddenly I’m not spending money on things I just don’t really need. For example – all the sales going on right now. Normally I would try to get few nice items to boost my wardrobe (not that I’m obsessed with shopping but I’m a girl after all) but this time I didn’t get a single thing. Even more – I want to get rid of some of the clothes I own and create a more minimalistic and toned wardrobe that’s going to be good for any occasion and at the same time won’t need 838910 pieces. I’m sorry for an already long comment but the last thing I want to throw in here is a quote from the movie Minimalism – Use things and love people (never do the opposite). I think it’s such a great essence and introduction to minimalism.

    With kindness,

    1. Thank you πŸ˜„ yeah ! You’re right about getting rid of stuffs that you don’t use ! instead of getting new items ! I am not against shopping like no-shopping at all but not a fan of over-doing shopping as well…I think should get exactly what they need ! So good choice girl πŸ˜ƒ and that quote is literally stunning ✴
